Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Show

Every spring the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati hosts a butterfly exhibit where patrons can walk among hundreds of free flying butterflies. The Conservatory releases 500 to 1,000 butterflies in one of their greenhouse showrooms each day during the show’s running, which is about six weeks. This year the theme is Pura Vida, Butterflies of Costa Rica. Well, obviously, I had to go.

The butterflies were gorgeous, as were the gardens. The Krohn Conservatory does a wonderful job of maintaining their plants year-round, but the springtime blooms are especially breath taking. The walk through Eden Park and around the Memorial Groves was very nice as well. Everything seemed so green and vibrant after our long, cold winter.
